Jones Hargreaves Sign Off at Marshalls Mill

The final phase of refurbishment has completed at Marshalls Mill, Leeds which sees an end to a long-term phased upgrade of the iconic Grade II* listed former flax mill. Jones Hargreaves’ involvement in the mill and the wider Holbeck Urban village dates back to the formation of the company in 2009 and the past three years have seen extensive involvement in Project Managing the reconfiguration of the building to modernise the 65,000sq ft of office space within. At the depths of the last recession, Marshalls Mill was 18% occupied and the £3.5m investment has seen the property become fully occupied by a total of 22 different tenants.

Jones Hargreaves provided Project Management services together with support on the design of tenant fit out works which were combined with the landlords ‘Cat A’ refurbishment with tenants able to choose ‘made to measure’ accommodation. The investment has also allowed Igloo Regeneration Ltd to realise the value of the asset and recently sold the estate to Hermes Investment Management. Crucially, Igloo have retained ownership of the Ironworks site where Jones Hargreaves continue the Project Management role in delivering a £10.5million residential development.
